This past weekend my mom came into town to visit. Oh, so
good!! How I miss my family... it is always such a sweet lift to see them, especially mom. :) She flew in early Friday and departed early Wednesday. We packed in a whole lot of fun into those few days! The "biggest" thing we did was go to the fair on Saturday. So, SO fun!! My mommy totally spoiled us! (Especially Benjamin-- how he LOVED having his Grammy around!). It was a beautiful day and the crowds were actually rather small. We rode some rides, perused the displays, ate funnel cake, and watched Benjamin have the time of his life with all the awesome kids' activities, like the Kids' Zone Safari and Petting Zoo. Jonathan also loved being out-and-about and mom and I just enjoyed the four of us being together and the general cheerful atmosphere of the fair.
The boys, mom, and me also visited the Deer Valley airport observation deck because Benjamin is currently REALLY into planes, trains, and automobiles. He was pretty amazed at the planes and helicopters landing and taking off--- he desperately wanted to go in one and wouldn't give up trying to convince us it was a good idea. Benjamin and Grammy also
carved a pumpkin and made Halloween cookies. We also went out to eat at Sweet Tomatoes (very yummy!!).Mom and I also got some sweet quality time with a whole lot of girl talk and a couple of classic romance movies (North & South and Jane Eyre). Loved it. Life returned back to normal pretty quick, but Mom left behind a good amount of much-needed strength and encouragement and a bunch of fun memories to keep me going till the we can get together again at Christmas time. Hooray for family! Double hooray for mommies!! :)

Oh and your kids are stinkin' cute!
Aren't moms the greatest?! It sounds like you have a pretty wonderful one. Glad you had such a good time with her. And I can't believe how grown up your boys are getting!
